Cottage Pudding Sauce

Directions

1. Mix brown sugar and butter in a large pot. Cook over medium heat, let it come just to a boil.
2. Stir in water, vanilla and salt.
3. Mix corn starch with cold water until there are no lumps. Add to brown sugar mixture in pot.
4. Cook until it clears.
5. Serve warm over white cake.
