Directions
Heat oven to 350°F Cream butter and sugar. Work in flour. If dough is crumbly, mix in 1 to 2 tablespoons of soft butter. Roll dough ½ to 1/3 in thick on lightly floured cloth-covered board. Cut into small shapes. Place ½ inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake about 20 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from baking sheet Makes about 2 dozen 1-1/2x1 inch cookies
